So, last weekend I pulled myself away from all my twi-related MADNESS and got to hanging with my IRL friends as opposed to my interweb friends (who all rock…you know who you are!)

O.K. Andy and I are sort of excited…Recently I’ve been working with Bella on Rhymes.  There is an episode of her FAVORITE show Ni Hao Kai Lan where the little Koala Tolee learns to rhyme, and she really likes to do that, so yesterday, we worked on Rhymes, and she pulled out this gem…ENJOY!

OK…so maybe we got a little ahead of ourselves there.  But even though it’s not an EXACT rhyme, at least we know she’s headed in the right direction, even if her steering is veering a little to the left.

Have a fun rhyme to share?

O.K. I’m pretty proud of myself.

Look @ him--don't lie, U know you want to meet him 2!!

Look @ him--don't lie, U know you want to meet him 2!!

In January I set a few goals:

  1. Stop biting my nails Check
  2. Laugh more, and help others find the humor in life. Check
  3. Meet Robert Pattinson & get a “Picture”.
  4. Work out every day…ok…as much as possible. Check

I know it’s only 4 months into the year, but I have to say I’ve been doing pretty good keeping my resolutions!

Success on 3 out of 4 ain’t bad!!

(I have no control over that third one, he’s in hiding in Vancouver, so I’ll just have to deal with that one later–don’t worry I haven’t given up yet!)

Writing this blog is  definitely filling my quota for helping people laugh and I’ve been working out at least 3 or 4 days a week.

As far as working out goes, I’m not going all G.I. Jane  or anything; I walk, bike, do pilates and use the weights in the gym in my building.  Most days I try and work out alone, but sometimes with the way things fall, Bella has to be there when I’m working out.  Most of the time she’s pretty cool, she watches her videos, and relaxes with a snack.  Other times she likes to spin and twirl in her princess dress in front of the mirrors.  Then there are the times when she wants all of my attention, or she wants to do what I’m doing……..and cue the drama:

Yeah, Bella all the women of the world know Exactly how you feel.  We feel the same way about Exercising too!

Did you start the year off with any Resolutions?

Did you keep them?

Bella at a few weeks!

When my daughter was born, the first thing the doctor said was “Wow…She’s got a head of black hair!”  This would seem like an auspicious beginning for a little girl.

Naptime

is a DIRTY WORD in our house.naptim_12

You know one of those words you say, in the heat of the moment without thinking, like:

“Oh look it’s 1:30, Yay! It’s NAPTIME!”

or maybe this…

“Hey there Missy…cut that out! What did you say? No!? Did you just tell me NO?!? OK! It’s NAPTIME for you!”

or even something as innocuous as this…

“Wasn’t the park fun Bella?  with all of that running around, you must be ready for NAPTIME!”

Every time you say it, you could just kick yourself, because it always starts trouble.  As you might have guessed my daughter Bella DETESTS Naptime.  She does not have the same problem with BEDTIME.  That would make some kind of sense…but oh NOOOooo! She’s fine going to sleep at night!  My husband takes her in the room,  rocks her a little, lays her down in the bed, sings her a song then has the following conversation:
